You know it the minute you close the trunk, your keys were in there.

AAA to the rescue.

It took longer to explain to the phone operator where the American River Resort in Coloma, CA was than for Kevin from G&O Body Shop to come and unlock the car.

thanks Kevin,

OK funny story…have to confess that even though I grew up in CA, I had to consult google maps to find out where Coloma was. On your way to Tahoe?

Hey Cathy, yes when you call AAA from the road in a different state you get routed to Oregon no matter what. Then back to the state you are in. We were in a rest stop just outside of winnemucca, and spent a very long time with dispatch because their script seems to require them to fill in ALL the blanks. Of course when the only tow company called us back and said directions weren’t good and asked us where we were… we said the reststop.. he said oh that’s easy. Why didn’t they put that in there .. go figure. BUT thank heavens for AAA. Worth every penny.
    Where was Edgar?

  3. John, too much snow in Tahoe, this is my destination, white water rafting and panning for gold.
Nora, Edgar was with me. I agree AAA – worth every penny!
