I hope you will enjoy traveling with me and my dog Edgar as we explore North America. It is my intention to “Go Off the Grid”, camping, hiking, checking out National and State Parks and hopefully a warm bed and hot shower from time to time. If you do enjoy what you read and see, please pass on the link through your favorite social media site.
I look forward to all your comments and hope you participate in the polls.
You are welcome to dig out your tent and sleeping bag and join me along the way for a few days of camping and hiking.
thanks,
Cathy Herman

I am enjoying living my life vicariously thru your site. You are living the dream.
I have a breakfast recipe for you;
Break 2 eggs into a freezer ziplock bag, mix in your goodies; cheese, mushrooms, ham… mush it all together, put it in boiling water for 10 min, dump out and walua, you have a perfect omelet and no pan to clean. One of our camping favorites, we put our names on the bags and everyone gets what they want.
You totally rock!!

I just found your blog. I was wondering how one becomes camp host for places like Ft Stevens and other parks? I am thinking about it is something my husband and I would love to do.
Thank you
Terri
